It is the first Friday of the month and that means enjoying local Anchorage galleries, restaurants, artists and boutiques! A rundown of host locations will be found on newsstands on Thursday, November 1st.


Alaska Anchorage Seawolves Hockey Games

        Dates: November 2, 3, 9, 10
        Location: Sullivan Arena

Go and cheer on our local collegiate hockey team! They only have home games at the beginning of the month at Sullivan Arena but they are on Friday and Saturday nights – a perfect way to begin a weekend!

The “Great Wide Open” Party

    Date: Nov 10, 2018
    Time: 8 p.m.
    Admission: $30/person, $25 for museum members, $20 for students (21+)
    Location: Anchorage Museum

Enjoy a night of bands (both local and national) and northern DJs at Anchorage Museum’s annual fall party. The galleries at the museum will be filled with music, artists and hands-on activities. There will also be food trucks selling local Anchorage cuisine. This night celebrates our Anchorage culture in a fun and modern way!


Girdwood Turkey Trot

    Location: Alyeska Daylodge

The 5th Annual Turkey Trot of Anchorage! It is free admission and fun for all ages on Thanksgiving morning. The route will be 2-3 miles, depending on weather conditions.

The Nutcracker

    Location: Alaska Center for the Performing Arts
